Baggage
Generally, train travel in Sweden and the rest of Europe is flexible regarding baggage, and there are usually no strict size and weight restrictions as long as you can handle your luggage and carry it onboard without assistance.
If you have larger or heavier baggage than can be easily handled, it is advisable to contact the train company in advance. They can provide information about their specific baggage policy, any additional charges, and whether special arrangements are available for larger items.
If you plan to travel with a bicycle or pet, there may be additional restrictions, so it is important to check this before booking your ticket.
Passport/ID
You must carry a valid passport or national ID card. The ID document you choose to travel with must be the same as the one used in the Rail Planner app and stated on your Interrail Pass.
Tickets and Timetable
Before your trip, make sure you have access to all the tickets you purchased and double-check the timetable with the train operator.
Rail Planner App
You must activate your Interrail Pass in the Rail Planner app before departure. In the app, you choose the start date and enter all the trains you will travel with.
