With an Interrail Global Pass, you can use the pass in your home country twice:
- Once to leave your home country (outbound)
- Once to return (inbound)
Important: These are not extra travel days – they are deducted from your regular travel day allowance.
You can start and end your trip at home, but you can’t use the pass for unlimited domestic travel throughout its validity.
When adding a journey in the Rail Planner app, you’ll be prompted to confirm if it’s an inbound or outbound trip. The app helps you apply it correctly.
You can also use these trips to reach an airport or ferry terminal in your home country.
