You can always cancel your ticket as long as it is done before the train's departure time has passed. When you cancel your ticket, you release your seat and give someone else the opportunity to buy it. Canceling your ticket does not automatically mean you will get your money back. To get a refund, the ticket must have the flexibility “Refundable” or you must be able to provide a medical certificate.
