You can activate your Interrail Pass at any time until your first travel day. To activate the pass, you need your pass- or ID- card information for the ID document you will bring on the trip. You also need your Mobile Pass Number, which can be found in your confirmation email. Although it is beneficial to have a date for your first travel day in mind when activating your Interrail Pass, it is not required. You can choose to complete this step later if it suits you better.
When you are ready to board your first train, remember that your Interrail Pass must be activated. You should also have your ticket available in "My Pass."
The interrail pass must be activated within 11 months from the purchase date. If you are unsure when you bought your pass, you can easily see the purchase date in your confirmation email.
